I saw this tutorial a while ago online (I think it was youtube) and want to share it, because I love triangles in quilts.. but I don't make them that often, because they are difficult to sew. So this is an easy way around.

You need two squares. One backround color, one main color (I used white for the backround and fun kids fabric for the main color) You can decide which size you use, I would say you could go as little as 5 inch and as big as 10 inch. I used 10 inch (which makes about 12,5 inch pinwheel blocks)
Man braucht 2 Quadrate, einen Hintergrundstoff (weiss) und einen Hauptstoff (braun) . Die Groesse koennt ihr selbst bestimmen. Ich wuerde sagen man kann bei ca 5 inch anfangen und bis zu 10 inch gehen ( ich hab 10 inch genommen, was ungefaehr 12,5 inch grosse Pinwheel blocks macht) 
Stack the squares, right sides together and pin.
Legt die Quadrate rechts auf rechts aufeinander und steckt sie mit Stecknadeln fest
Sew around all four edges ( yes all FOUR)
Jetzt einmal rund um alle vier seiten naehen ( jap alle VIER)
Now cut through your sewn together square diagonally twice
Jetzt schneidet ihr eurer zusammengenaehtes Quadrat zweimal diagonal durch
If you open up the four pieces, that you just cut, you see these four triangle blocks.
Wenn ihr die vier Teile die ihr dadurch erhalten nun aufklappt, seht ihr diese vier Bloecke.
Arrange them and there it is the Pinwheel Block:
Legt euch die Teile zurecht und ihr habt euren ersten Pinwheel Block:
on the backside, seperate the middle seam, otherwise it's too bulkydie Mittelnaht ist nun ziemlich dick, es hilft wenn man die Nahtzugabe auseinander buegelt.
And on a side note, watcht that all your pinwheels go in the same direction..Kleine Bemerkung am Rande, achtet darauf das eure Windraeder sich alle in die gleiche Richtung drehen.. sonst siehts doof aus.
