taking Chance

In April 2004, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Strobl, USMC, came across the name of 19 year-old Lance Corporal Chance Phelps, a young Marine who had been killed by hostile fire in Al Anbar Province, Iraq. Strobl, a Desert Storm veteran with 17 years of military services, requested that he be assigned for military escort duty to accompany Chance's remains to his family in Dubois, Wyoming.
I watched this movie a couple of days ago. People maybe think that I'm crazy, because I watched during my husband is deployed.
Of course I cried (pretty much through the whole movie) but I'm actually glad that I watched it. It's a great movie, very realistic and without the usual "Movie-Drama"
Chris did the "honor guard" once, he didn't tell me much about it, only that it was very emotional and that the people on the plane really showed a lot of respect.
I only can highly recomment this movie!
